Belated Christmas present
« on: March 10, 2010, 03:33:06 PM »

OK, it took me quite awhile to get to this point but I finally was able to get myself a present, a new reel from Black Fly Outfitters. It is Vaughn's limited edition Black Fly reel, mid arbor, sealed bearings and clutch, very smooth drag, very light for it's size...a really lovely piece of work for about half of what other fine reels are going for these days.

Wow!  That sure is purty.  I guess that is one advantage of not being married.  I could never imagine thinking about coming home with anything like that.  Have you gotten it wet yet?  I bet the fish are going to enjoy being caught alot more with it.  Can't wait to hear the zing when you catch one.
