Thanks Ryan! You beat me to it. Basically the tournament is a fundraiser for a summer fishing camp for children with autism. One of the prizes we are giving is a fly box made by myself loaded with flies tied by you guys. I am asking everyone to donate 1 fly, the fly you always go to so that I can fill the fly box up. Please help with this wonderful cause!

This is going to be a "Fun" fishing tournament with categories inshore and offshore. We are going to give a prize for the largest fish caught on fly as a whole. The prize is going to be a fly box made by myself filled with flies made by you. Here is some more info on the tournament and where all the proceeds go to. For more info, go to www.autismfishing.com

The 1st Annual Julian A. Guas Fun Fishing Tournament will be held at Homestead Bayfront Park & Marina located at 9698 SW 328 Street in Homestead, Florida on April 24, 2010. This is a non-profit inshore/offshore fun fishing tournament which will benefit the Autism Society of Miami-Dade. My goal, together with Autism Society of Miami-
Dade, is to create a “Day of Fishing” program for children with autism. My son Julian was diagnosed with autism 7 years ago and fishing has given us a way to connect and enjoy time together. If I can reach one child and to help them enjoy this sport then my goal will be accomplished. Every child that attends the Autism Society of Miami’s “Day of Fishing” will be given their own fishing rod. Our Little Fishers along with their parents and siblings
will enjoy a day together and learn about how to use a fishing rod and fun fishing facts.

The Julian A. Guas Fun Fishing Tournament entry fee is just $60.00 per boat, witha 4 person maximum. Entry fee will include two tickets for the 2010 Custom Gheenoe NoMotor Zone Boat raffle donated by Custom Gheenoe.com (Unlimited Glassworks) andCaptain’s Party following the tournament. Registration after April 16th, 2010 is subjectto a $15.00 late fee. Additional anglers are $20.00 per person. Boats with anglers withautism will be given a 50% discount on the entry fee. Check begins at 7:00 am on April 24th,2010 and all anglers must have lines up at 2:30pm and be back at the dock by 3:00 pmApril, 24th 2010. Anglers must have a valid saltwater fishing license and abide by all FWCfishing rules. Awards will be given for in several categories including longest fish. Anglerswhich are catching and releasing must take a digital photograph of the fish they are goingto enter with a token or yard stick that will be provided to them at the captains meeting.
Anglers must supply their own digital camera with a compatible USB cable. The Awards
Ceremony and Captain’s Party will begin at 4pm and will be followed by the 2010 Custom
Gheenoe No Motor Zone Boat raffle and general raffle. The event will also feature a live
auction for an original painting donated by the artist Jorge Martinez, plus additional items.

**Please note: We are not professional tournament holders, we are simply parents of children with autism and we are looking for ways for our children to have fun, do something different and to be a part of our community. Your
support is greatly appreciated and will directly impact the life of a child touched by autism. The 1st Annual Julian A. Guas Fun Fishing Tournament is sponsored by: Custom Gheenoe.com (Unlimited Glassworks) and Miami-Dade County Parks. Co-sponsors include: Flanigan’s Restaurants, Castaway Customs, Strongarm-Products.com, Barry’s Custom Rods, El Capitan , Little Hoolies, Renzetti Fly Vises, Art by Jorge Martinez, Skinny Water Products and The Fly Shop of Miami .
