Islamorada Fishing Trip
« on: January 01, 2010, 02:56:36 PM »

My buddy has invited me to celebrate his 30th birthday with a weekend of fishing in the Keys.  We're looking to get a private charter to take us to the backcountry and hopefully catch some bones and permit.  Are there any recommendations on a charter in this area?

Capt. Billy Ellenwood is the only guide I have used down there.  He was recommended to me from Capt. John Donnell.  It depends on when you are going and what method of fishing you will be doing.  There are some big names who produce down there but they are often booked up.  Billy was great.  My wife and I had a blast and saw more tarpon than you could imagine.  Give him a call....305-393-6173.  Tell him I sent you.
